Sega revealed a new Shinobi game during Sony’s February 2025 PlayStation State of Play event. It’s officially called Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, and Sega plans to launch it on August 29, 2025 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is Sega’s first Shinobi game since 2011’s Shinobi, a spin-off for the Nintendo 3DS, and it’s not the only new move for the dormant series that Sega has in store. In 2022, the studio announced a Shinobi movie is in production as part of a push to expand audiences for its classic franchises.
