The Last Of Us Season 2: See All The New Images So Far

The Last of Us is back soon

HBO’s very popular The Last of Us TV series returns for Season 2 in April. Ahead of that, the network has released a batch of images, showing off the characters and environments that viewers can expect to see when the show returns.

Included in the gallery are shots of returning characters like Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey), along with new characters for Season 2 like Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and Dina (Isabela Merced). The images don’t give away much, so if you’re worried about spoilers, you should be OK viewing all of these images.

Season 2 won’t span the entirety of The Last of Us: Part II’s story, as showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are planning to tell the story across two seasons. Season 2 may also depart from the game’s story in some big ways. For his part, Mazin said he expects there to be “furor,” just like there was for Season 1.

Regarding fan feedback in general, Mazin said he is only trying to do what is right for the story, even if people don’t like it.

“We don’t operate to either make people happy on social media or avoid making them upset. We just do what we think is right, and we hope that people come along for the ride and enjoy it,” he said.

Season 2 premieres April 13, and it’s expected to be followed by at least two more seasons. As for the game series, it might be finished. Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann was recently asked if there will be a The Last of Us: Part III, and he suggested it may not happen.
