SDSU Global Campus is launching a series of free, online classes for San Diego professionals interested in learning AI to boost their productivity and gain a competitive edge in their industry or the job market.
The first class in the series, SDSU Global Campus Career Skills Institute’s Expert Series: Unlock AI Productivity at Work, will explore how AI can impact business, automation, and efficiency, as well as the challenges that come with AI adoption.
According to Microsoft and LinkedIn’s 2024 Work Trends Report, 66% of leaders say they wouldn’t hire someone without AI skills and 71% say they would rather hire a less experienced candidate with AI skills than a more experienced candidate without them. The Expert Series will focus on addressing critical workforce skills needed in the San Diego region.
Michael Todasco, a Visiting Fellow from SDSU Fowler College of Business’ James Silberrad Brown Center for AI, will teach the inaugural class and attendees will be surveyed to help determine the topic of future classes.
