Crusaders holding annual 3v3 festival May 17-18

Victor Melendez, the director of Coaches for the Crusaders Soccer Club announced “On Saturday, April 18, we completed the initial tryouts for all our competitive teams. We still have several positions to fill. If you know of a player interested in trying out for one of our competitive teams for any boy or girl born between 2008 and 2019, email me at victorm.melendez@crusaderssoccer.org.” 

The Crusaders’ annual 3v3 festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 17 for the boys and May 18 for the girls. The festival is open to all boys and girls born between 2009 and 2019.  Every team will play at least three games.  There is a competitive and recreational division.  The team registration fee is $300 for teams not affiliated with the Crusaders Soccer Club and $250 for Crusaders Soccer teams.

Sunday, May 4, was the final day of the Crusaders Soccer 2025 Recreational, spring season.  

Modesto Guariniello, the director of the Recreational Program, stated, “This was my first full season with Crusaders Soccer Club, and it has been very rewarding to work with the coaches and watch the players continue to improve their soccer skill throughout the season. Registration for our 2025 recreational fall season opens on May 15.  I am looking forward to working with everyone to ensure the more than 1,000 anticipated players, our volunteer coaches, and division coordinators have another outstanding fall season.”

On Sunday, April 27, six members of Modesto’s Boys 2012 Competitive, Academy level team, won their division in the Ramona Soccer Club’s 4v4 tournament.  

The boys played four games, scoring a total of 21 goals and only allowed three goals.  They won their final game 2-1 in sudden-death overtime.
