Season 2 of HBO’s The Last of Us wrapped last month, which set up Season 3 to go back and show Abby’s (Kaitlyn Dever) point of view on her first day in Seattle. We don’t have a premiere date for Season 3, but the composer for the show might have let slip that Season 4 is in the works.
Talking on the The Last of Us: Savage Starlight podcast (via GamesRadar) composer Jake Staley vaguely hinted that a fourth season is on the way: “There’ll be at least two more seasons, no question. At least, that’s all I’m gonna say.”
Backing this up, showrunner Craig Mazin has now said it would be impossible to tell the story he and his team have in mind in anything fewer than four seasons. He even expects Season 3 will have to be longer than Season 2.
